Zushi And Hayama 逗子・葉山

Although Zushi and Hayama are well known resort areas just an hour’s drive from Tokyo, people who don’t drive can also easily get there and enjoy the wonderful nature. Using the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line via Zushi and then the Keikyu Bus (which covers most of this area) you can go almost anywhere you want.
Basically, there are two ways to touch nature here: Hiking the hilly mountains, or beachside leisure. There are no tall mountains in this area, but light ups and downs; the wonderful views from the cliff are delightful. People who love history will enjoy visiting some of the area’s ancient temples. The shoreline between Zushi and Hayama is beautiful and fashionable, and not only that, the sunset from here will take your breath away!
Zushi and Hayama are lovely places for both mountain and sea enthusiasts. Please come and see what the area has to offer!

Tochigi, Kurobane

Kurobane is in the northeast district of Tochigi Prefecture. It used to be a river port on the Naka River, which divides Kurobane into two parts. The Naka River starts as a clear stream from a volcano, Mt. Nasu, and flows down to the Pacific Ocean in Ibaraki. It is also known for its tasty sweetfish.
There are a few big temples and shrines in Kurobane: Nasu Jinja Shrine, Daio-ji Temple and Ungan-ji Temple. They are all nice tranquil places, rich in history. Kurobane is a bit off the beaten path of regular travelers, but it’s worth visiting, to enjoy a lingering scent of old Japan.
